¶ Game Director
The director acts as the “God Head” for CHIM. They will guide AI NPCs in role-playing scenes together. They use the JSON connector for generating content.
Currently there are 2 primary interactions they are used for:
- Smart Bored Events: This will use the Director to generate a conversation topic for a random nearby NPC to start.
This is how “radiant” conversations begin between NPCs without player interaction.
After the initial bored event the rest of the conversation is carried out by the Rechat system. - Director Mode Toggle: The director mode will allow you to talk directly to the game director.
It is a simple MCM toggle. When in director mode anything said will go directly to the director for them to fulfil.
The director can target 1-3 NPCs per prompt.
It's a great roleplaying tool to guide NPCs to start scenes you wish to see playout.
Examples:
- Start a bar fight.
- I want the City Guard to attack Heimskr for being annoying.
- Arngeir should travel to Solitude to pickup some sweetrolls.
- I want my followers to stop complaining about all the loot I am taking for myself
- Jarl Balgruuf should tell a really bad joke.
